On the night of September 8, a major earthquake hit Morocco, causing over 2,800 fatalities and thousands of injuries. The damage is massive. Remote areas have become hard to reach for rescuers due to all the destruction, so the full impact of the disaster is still unclear.
The needs on the ground are huge. Really huge. Right after the disaster, the Red Cross Flanders immediately allocated €200,000 from the emergency fund to provide initial aid. They are also locally present to kickstart the relief efforts quickly and efficiently.
You can help too. Your support means a lot to the victims. By buying a ticket for this benefit show, you directly contribute to:
- Distributing water and food.
- Providing first aid & psychosocial support.
- Transporting the injured to hospitals.
- Shelter for families who have lost their homes.
